Merchandiser –New Haven/Fairfield Counties
Non-Exempt Position
General Hours – Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with flexibility to work evening and weekend
hours; some shifts hours vary 6:00 am – 2:30 pm and End of Month 5:00 am – 1:30 pm
Position reports to: Merchandising Manager
Position Summary:
Provides support to assigned zone and key accounts in merchandising products in themed/seasonal
displays. Responsible for completing assigned set-ups, quotas, and initiatives while fostering
internal and external customer relationships.
• Services assigned key accounts route list for general merchandising
• Assures product is featured and well represented in displays with appropriate POS signage and
items to include hang tags, shelf tags, rebates, bottle racks & shelves, etc.
• Sets up and breaks down various displays in accordance with store-assigned placement/areas
and in conjunction with Company and State of Connecticut standards.
• Executes End of Month drops, in addition to large flow deliveries
• Sets up room for in-house meetings and/or new product kick-off, and trade shows at various venues
following the prescribed room layout.
• Participates in staffing POS warehouse stocking/restocking and movement of items.
• Provides delivery of will calls as assigned.
• Responsible for pick-up & distribution of monthly Beverage Journals.
• Participates in store set-ups, and resets, as assigned.
• Provides support with in-store tastings, supplier market visits, promotions, and events as
needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Attributes
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent training and work experience
Current and valid Driver’s License
Industry experience is a plus
Ability to lift 40 – 75 pounds; frequent lifting and set-up of bulky items
Manual dexterity and aptitude to assemble POS products; use of small hand tools
Professional level of interpersonal skills, listening, written and verbal communications
Motivated, proactive, and self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Basic understanding of various data collection applications, basic knowledge of Word & Excel,
Microsoft Outlook
• Attends and completes TIPS certification
