Description

InnoVint is a rapidly growing software company, offering the wine industry’s leading wine production software solution. The Role

For too long, wineries have not had the resources or knowledge to run an efficient, profitable business. With over 5,000+ winemakers using our software, a winemaking community with 500+ members, and 130+ harvests between InnoVint employees, we feel uniquely positioned to be able to help the underserved wine industry rally together and forge a path forward that helps every winery be more successful… and operate more like a modern business.

To do this, we are hiring a new team member to help evangelize this movement and lead our community, events, and partnership efforts. As an early team member on the marketing team, you will have a sizable impact on the direction and culture of the marketing department and the company.

We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, scrappy, and creative for this role. You are comfortable trying new things, failing quickly, and juggling many projects. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for the wine industry (and wants to be part of changing it for the better), wants to be on the ground floor of a scaling software business, and is eager to grow their business and marketing skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll manage and grow our community. You’ll be responsible for managing our digital community, The Punchdown, as well as launching new programs to increase membership, engagement, and connection between members.

  • You’ll break bread with customers and prospects. Spending time and building relationships is a key part of our growth strategy. You’ll be working closely with sales to ensure our team has opportunities each quarter to connect with our community in person through dinners, field events, and trade show sponsorships. Plus, you’ll personally be building lifelong connections in the wine industry!

  • You’ll be leading a wine industry movement for the ages. In 12 months, you’ll look back and see how your work has materially shifted the wine industry for the better. Through community and educational events, you’ll be helping educate wineries on how to operate more like modern businesses. You’ll recruit and collaborate with partners and other industry players to participate in this movement and scale your efforts.

  • You’ll work on various other marketing initiatives. Depending on your experience and interests, you may also work on email marketing, product marketing, co-marketing activities with strategic partners, and/or write content. We all wear many hats, so no two days look the same. You will partner with marketing and sales leadership and ensure we focus on the right activities because working smarter, not harder, is part of our DNA.

  • You’ll learn how to scale a software company. You’ll have the opportunity to acquire new business and marketing skills to add to your resume and get involved in other areas you’re interested in - growth, operations, sales, etc.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a sales, marketing, or community role(s)
  • Wine industry experience and/or relationships in the wine industry
  • Located in California, ideally the North Bay or Bay Area, is a major plus; ability to travel for community and industry events
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills - can communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Are passionate about bringing people together to learn and build meaningful connections
  • Are energetic and proactive; you don’t need to be told what to do and are comfortable tackling big problems with little direction and oversight
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage independently without oversight
  • Excellent attention to detail
