McCabes Wine & Spirits, an established, fast-paced neighborhood store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side is searching for an experienced and high-energy Sales professional. The ideal candidate has a track-record of meeting sales goals, is passionate & knowledgeable about our industry, and has a strong work ethic. Responsibilities will include:
- Deliver exemplary service by providing recommendations over multiple channels - mostly in-store working on the sales floor, but also via phone, email, & online
- Grow & maintain relationships with new/existing guests for reliable everyday sales as well as collector and allocated items
- As part of the Buying team -- taste and assess new wines & spirits with coworkers and distributors for possible store placement
- Send email offers to customers communicating new/exciting products
- Ability to multi-task is essential, including drafting quotes for and the handling of large corporate orders
- Keyholder responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Receive, price and restock inventory as needed
- Operate a cash register
- Report to Store Owner

This full-time role requires previous industry experience (retail and/or restaurant) as well as good knowledge of wine & spirits. Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends (Sunday’s are a necessity) and all holidays. You must be punctual, have the ability to lift 40lbs, and be able to stand for extended periods of time. In accordance with NY state law, all candidates must show proof of having received the COVID vaccine.
