The Tasting House is located in Los Gatos, California and will open Fall 2021. We are a premium wine, cheese, and chocolate tasting bar serving small plates that will complement the wines we offer.

There are also retail, e-commerce, and catering components to the business. A highlight in the shop is a large and unique wine and cheese assortment featuring local and international offerings. The retail assortment is a curated selection of fine wines, cheeses, charcuterie, chocolates as well as gourmet foods and premium housewares.

The Position: CURATOR
Have experience in fine dining hospitality
Be friendly, social and like to interact with staff and guests, be a team player.
Have a thorough knowledge of wine, food and beverage.
Have a strong personality. Be determined to deliver a detailed and high level of luxury service.

Responsibilities :
Engage with guests in a friendly and sincere poise
Take food and beverage orders in a accurate and timely manner, with a positive attitude
Write the orders on an order slip, enter it in the point-of-sale system to be transmitted to kitchen and/or bar
Knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions and wine & food pairings
Ensure guests are enjoying their meals and proactively look for ways to better it
Present check, collect payments cards and/ or cash

Qualifications:
Wine knowledge
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast, fun and learning environment
Positive attitude, and ability to simultaneously with guests, assistant, runners, cooks and other colleagues
Amazing skills at working unsupervised and taking initiative when needed
Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
Stand on your feet, stoop or walk for the majority of the day
Work safely around machines and knives
Lift, push and/or pull items up to 50 pounds

Salary based on experience

Candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays and be available for lunch, brunch and evening shifts.
