Description

Our independent ShopRite Wines & Spirits chain is owned and operated by Inserra Supermarkets Inc. The chain consists of 10 liquor stores throughout New Jersey and New York. Our growing chain is seeking Wine & Spirits Managers and Assistant Managers. Candidates must be leaders with strong people skills and a wide knowledge and experience in the Wine & Spirits trade. The Wines and Spirits Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation and profitability of a Inserra Supermarkets Wines and Spirits store.

Job Responsibilities:
· Compliance with all the regulations of the NJ Division of ABC
· Monitor and achieve annual budgets for sales, gross profit, labor, controllable expenses and overall profitability. Submit required records and reports including labor schedules, payroll, RIP logs, warehouse inventories, personnel paperwork and invoices.
· Oversee all aspects of the operation, and directly supervise the Assistant Store Managers.
· Monitor weekly, period and quarterly department results and performance against budget. Develop effective action plans for under-performing areas.
· Ensure proper retail and sales pricing.
· Responsible for buying product and verifying pricing.
· Recruit, hire and orientate all new Associates. Oversee and coach Associates on the implementation and execution of weekly sales plans.
· Responsible for all opening and closing procedures.
· Maintain/supervise the general cleanliness and proper state of repair of the store and parking lot.
· Create and maintain a customer-focused environment by ensuring the immediate follow-up and resolution of all customer complaints, inquiries, and suggestions by store personnel.

Background Required:
• Must have 1-3 years of experience managing Wine & Spirits Stores in an independent or retail chain setting.
• Experience as a Wine & Spirits Assistant or Store Manager required.
• Good administrative and verbal communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage deadlines.
• College degree desirable.
• Computer skills important and a familiarity with Microsoft Office is desirable.
• Must be competent at reading and creating Excel spreadsheets.
