Position Overview
VERVET is seeking an off-premise sales rep to focus on independent liquor, independent grocery, regional liquor chains and regional grocery chains. This role has four primary responsibilities: increase new accounts, manage existing accounts, grow volume and optimize merchandising. You will be reporting to our CEO until the sales director is hired. As a Vervet Regional Sales Representative, you will be the local contact and face for the brand, dedicated to brand building, sales growth, consumer and staff education focusing on forming essential relationships with retail buyers. This role will serve to increase brand awareness and product availability to our end consumers. In doing so, you will create simple but effective processes for running a well-oiled sales growth machine.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Selling Vervet into new accounts and managing inventory in existing accounts in the LA area
Building strong relationships with buyers
Inspire accounts to become advocates of our brand
Be a passionate ambassador and in-market expert of our brand values, craft process and team
Consistently meet and grow sales targets
Grow volume by executing strategies for POS placement, merchandising, pricing, and increased SKU distribution in the accounts
Act as a local contact for wholesale customers as needed
Account List Tracking and Management
Partner with Brand Team on regional events, marketing, and demo opportunities
Partner with Buyers to increase brand awareness, education, and utilize promotional materials
Collect field/competitive insights for the company
Review and analyze market data to track trends, monitor lost/gained placements, and identify new business opportunities
Ability to track, monitor and stick to/understand a budget.
Attend in-depth training
KPI, CRM and expense Monitoring & Reporting
Ideal Skills
2+ years of relevant sales experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
Thorough knowledge of distribution, promotion and selling techniques
Resilient, problem solver, and team player
Masterful organization and time management
Motivated self-starter, outgoing, warm personality, articulate and charismatic
Confidence, passion and the ability to engage individuals and groups
Experience working with, and passionate about, promotion of premium brands
Knowledge of premium spirits and craft cocktails
Fluency in one or more languages a plus
Budget development and management experience
Strong written/oral communication and business analytical skills
Adapt at interacting with diverse groups of people, with understanding of the target customer
Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion and Apple products preferred
Must possess valid California Driver’s License
Reliable transportation and good driving record is required
