A highly respected importer/distributor seeks an experienced NYC-based Off-Premise Sales Representative.

Driven by passion, conviction and veracity, we are seeking a self-motivated individual who has strong, existing relationships that can develop our presence in the off-premise market channel.

POSITION STATEMENT
The Off-Premise Sales Representative will be responsible for not only maintaining their already strong account base, but will continue to grow their prospects by developing a larger retail network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (but not limited to)

• Manage, develop and maintain relationships via consistent in-person sales calls and as well as phone/email correspondence.
• Deliver on KPI’s to increase distribution and sales growth within key account base.
• Hit quarterly and annual sales targets assigned by management.
• Educate client base on company portfolio and new and upcoming products.
• Schedule multiple in-store tastings and events throughout the year.
• Develop expertise of company portfolio as well as company culture and mindset.
• Communicate regularly with Sales Director and upper management.
• Attend sales meetings, portfolio tastings and other company events.
• Be “first-in-the-know” of any new store openings in the NYC metro area.
• Provide exemplary customer service and always represent company with integrity and character.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills, be self-directed while adhering to management directives.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a high level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

• Strong existing client base within the off-premise channel in NYC.
• 3+ years experience of selling successfully in the wine/spirit industry.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform independently as well as be a team player within organization.
• Effective time management skills.
• Knowledge of winemaking and viticulture techniques.
• Greater knowledge of French, Italian, Austrian and German wines.
