Acker Merrall & Condit, the oldest wine merchant in the U.S., is hiring a full-time sales professionals for the position of Sales Associate. Previous Wine & Spirits sales experience is necessary. We want high-energy, customer-focused individuals that enjoy the art of the honest sell in a fast-paced, exciting retail environment.

Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service skills and a desire to meet and surpass sales goals
Make wine & spirit recommendations to customers
Build trustworthy customers relationships, both in-person and over-the-phone
Write descriptions and shelf talkers for new items as required
Assist in special events & in-store tastings
Work with Microsoft Office base applications, including word, excel, and outlook
Cash register duties and handling phone orders

Requirements:
3+ years of sales experience preferred
High-energy, team player with excellent communication skills
Sommelier experience, coursework and/or advanced WSET (or similar) education preferred
Must be coachable and be willing to take direction from management
Work Evenings, Weekends and have schedule flexibility
Appreciation of and passion for the Wine & Spirits industry
Trustworthy, punctual, personable
Ability to lift 40+lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
