The Logistics Specialist position located in Newark, DE will coordinate supply chain processes for all inbound and outbound products by communicating with clients and vendors, reviewing invoices, monitoring shipment status’, and examining delivery route activity.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Communicate with high-net-worth clients to arrange the pickup and delivery of wines.
Establish and leverage relationships with shipping vendors to procure the safest and most economical shipping methods.
Locate and vet new shipping vendors.
Organize internal transfers from multiple 3PLs across three different time zones.
Fulfill internal requests and advise the sales team on the movement of product.
Review invoicing for pricing and accuracy.
Provide quarterly P&L reporting, and analysis of transportation costs, parts procurement, shipping times, and other fulfillment metrics.
Ensure proper documentation for all shipments to remain in compliance for domestic and international shipping.
Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity.
Assist as needed during auction events. Auction events may be held nights and/or weekends.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of international import/export & domestic shipping regulations.
Extensive knowledge of shipping and distribution channels.
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze problems, propose sound solutions and/or make recommendations and take action.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work extended hours and weekends due to heavy workload and business needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
Previous experience in logistics field required.
Wine knowledge a plus.
Must have a passion to learn about the wine industry.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Position may require occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds for short durations.
