Global leading wine auction house & retailer is seeking a bright, friendly, energetic and detail-oriented person to work full time in our Retail Store located at 160 W. 72nd Street, New York.
Sales on the floor
Meet agreed upon annual sales goals and objectives
Execute strategic sales plan
Development clients by capturing contact info, building client relationships, etc.
Proactive selling, including additional outreach
Expand client base and ensuring its strong presence
Create and organize curated weekly wine promotions
Manage sales team
Create team sales goals along with reports.
Create staff wine listings
Customer service training
Communicate with team any new wines, pre-arrivals etc. from Fine & Rare Department
Interface with marketing
Work with Chief Marketing Officer on promotions / marketing
Work closely with Store Operations Manager
Any additional duties including but not limited to store logistics, strategy etc.
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze problems, propose sound solutions and/or make recommendations and take action.
Must be exceptionally detail-oriented, and able to see the big picture.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work extended hours and weekends due to heavy workload and business needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including proficient in Excel.
Lift up to 40lbs, climb ladders, bend, sit, carry, stand, reach
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of sales, customer service, and/or business development experience.
Minimum 2+ years in a manager or supervisory role.
Knowledge and a deep passion for wine and/or spirits industry, WSET preferred.
