Small, service oriented, independently owned and operated off premise wine and spirits retail location is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and professional individual to join our sales team on a full-time basis (45 hours weekly). This position necessitates creating memorable experiences for all guests who visit the store as well as working in a team-oriented environment. All members of our team wear many hats and perform any task required to keep both front and the back of the house operational and organized.
Responsibilities:
• Daily involvement in sales and processing customer transactions quickly and accurately
• Promote and increase sales of wines and spirits from all regions
• Develop ongoing relationships with guests to drive repeat visits and future sales
• Educate clients on viticulture and winemaking practices in a warm and enthusiastic manner
• Maintain knowledge of inventory and stay current on wine reviews and industry issues
• Operating point of sales system, accounting for daily sales and shipping orders consistently and precisely
• Maintaining inventory on website and processing online sales
• Buying and maintaining inventory for assigned regions
• Assist with daily administrative opening and closing duties, including wine inventory
Qualifications/Skills:
• Knowledge of winemaking, viticulture, with emphasis on U.S. and Southern Hemisphere regions
• Work as a team in a courteous and respectful manner at all times
• Restaurant or previous hospitality/retail sales experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable with public speaking,
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Previous wine-related sales experience is a strong advantage
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar
• Strong attention to detail and a general commitment to quality in all aspects of work
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. cases and be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be available to work 5 days per week, must work Friday and Saturday
• Reliable transportation required

• Discussed during interview (base salary plus commission on sales)
