GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY:
The CDE portfolio manager provides support and expertise for the Connecticut account universe. He or she is responsible for assigned quotas and initiatives, growth, and maintenance of a key account list, and for providing general support throughout the entire account universe.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides support to the sales team in developing top Chateau D'Esclans brands in the Brescome Barton portfolio in both on and off-premise sectors.
• Works in conjunction with Trade Development to develop effective programming, pricing, and merchandising tools.
• Maintains the base of key accounts as determined by the sales team to drive CDE priorities concerning distribution, brand standards, and depletions.
• Works on KPIs and other pertinent goals.
• Utilizes analytical tools to monitor and analyze the execution of plans relative to established priorities.
• Communicates results and shares feedback from the marketplace with Sales management and Trade Development staff.
• Conducts training and education for customers on products, categories, and trends.
• Coordinates and manages in-store tastings, supplier market visits, promotions, and events.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs other duties as assigned related to the requirements of the job.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)
• Reports to North_South division managers.
• Works alongside supplier personnel as directed.
• Works alongside Zone Managers and Account Development Managers throughout the state.
• Works with Sales Representatives throughout the state.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
WORK/KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent training and work experience.
• Field sales experience, familiar with on-premises atmosphere; ability to close the sale.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience directly related in the industry.
• Must possess and continually build upon knowledge of wines, spirits, and beer, creating and writing wine and cocktail lists, on-premise back bar management, off-premises shelf, floor, and cold box management.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
• Strong IT experience required with the familiarity of Windows and iOS operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn and adopt other emerging technologies
• Effective analytical, presentation, and organizational skills; attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on a timely basis, exercise independent judgment
• Professional level of interpersonal skills, listening, written and verbal communications
• Motivated, proactive, self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to adapt to changing business, processes, technologies, and environments

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb or balance
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Current and valid CT Driver’s License and Insurance coverage
• Must dress in proper business attire
• Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings at all times and during inclement weather
