Wine Access is leading the online, direct-to-consumer fine wine revolution. Backed by top-tier investor Norwest Venture Partners, we are aggressively scaling to dominate the premium wine market by creating extraordinary wine experiences. We offer our members a variety of wines, sourced by experts and delivered with insightful stories that bring every bottle to life.
Wine Access is looking for a Senior Copywriter to write engaging, authoritative, and timely wine content for Daily Offer, Store, and Wine Club offerings. They will work closely with and report to the Director of Content.
The ideal candidate must be an outstanding writer with both natural talent and developed skills: They should be able to process and act on feedback, adjust tone efficiently, and evaluate and improve a piece of writing quickly. Even more important than impeccable grammar, an excellent vocabulary, and a keen eye for detail is the ability to write with “snap.” Our loyal readership buys plenty, but they don’t just slog through our offers just to get to the deal—they read them to be entertained and to learn about wine.
Top candidates will have 5+ years of professional writing experience—preferably in the commercial world and especially in wine—and a bottomless well of creativity that they can tap on demand. We work hard to bang out best-in-the-business offers every day—we don’t labor over them for weeks. Put another way: You’ve got to perform when the pressure’s on.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. This is a full-time position. Wine Access is based in Napa, but the job is fully remote. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
